Final Fantasy Five is my favourite, despite being criminally underrated and nearly obscure :( (Sad).

In an interview, Character Creator Tetsuya Nomura said that he wanted Five and Six remade after Seven before Eight and Nine (with Five before Six in numerical order, which is what Nomura wants), since Nomura noticed that One to Four was remade in numerical order, before work on Seven began.

I would like to see that happen, even if Six gets remade first, Five must get remade before Eight (but that is my personal opinion only, but what do you think about it Senneraldya?).

Final Fantasy Five did get a sequel (sort of 🤔, I am just using this as a shrug emoji face, since I do not know how to do one of those, and this thinking face will have to do), called Legends of the Crystals, which was a tv show back in the mid 90's (and it did make it across the globe, since there is an English and American dubbing, of all four episodes, yes, there was only four episodes of the show unfortunately
:( (Sad)).

The Legend of the Crystals is set two hundred years after Five, with a brand new threat from outer space (a weird dark lord creature, with a green orc human creature as an igor sidekick, and an army of robots and robotic technological terrors), and the four crystals playing a role to defeat said threat (as well as four characters, and a temporary character who is a ghost, that is an echo of the original characters, as well as Galuf who was a temporary character, who came back as something similar but as a spirit, during the void battles with Ex-Death and Neo Ex-death).

However, the flashbacks and the memory sequences look nothing like the Final Fantasy Five, and even though the show only had four episodes, it tried to stay true to Final Fantasy Five, let alone tried to act as a faithful sequel (even though it wasn't).

The four episodes are called Fire, Dragon, Star, and Earth (although not in that order, since Fire came first and Star coming last).

If you check out Youtube, then you will find all four episodes compacted and edited into one video, but you should watch both the Japanese and English dub videos (since the English dub video is missing a section of the last episode, that the Japanese version remembered to keep in :) (Smile)).
